Canal Music Studio is designed as a sound proof rehearsal and recording studio in Lambertville, NJ. It contains three practice rooms and two ensemble rooms along w/lobby and waiting room. Soundproofing is achieved through redundant and kinetically isolated framed walls finished in multiple assymetrical layers of gypsum. Walls are purposefully non-parallel with ceilings also isolated by either being hung on kinetic spring-loaded hardware or build on putty-pads - all engineered to scatter and dampen sound vibration
